Our long time house mates moved out today in preparation for Simeon and Patrick. I feel a serious need to clean, organize and rest. We have heard no word about our progress except that our case is in the court now.
We are learning soooooo much about, community, judging others, guilt, trying to please others, being who God made us to be etc.
Less painfully, we are learning how to create heart bonds with our new boys.
It helps to remember that I did not bond right away with Havilah when she was born. Now she and I are VERY bonded. It also helps to realize that we went into this adoption knowing that these boys may never bond or even love us. We are not adopting because we need their love. We are adopting because they need OUR love and knowing deeply that God required it of us, we can do no other.
