November

We are still waiting on news from Liberia.
We try to keep our hearts, home, dreams, belongings etc. available for use by God.

We have been trying to catch up on fixing broken things on the house as well as relationships. The weather is beautiful and invigorating. We've been raking leaves, collecting eggs, sewing, reading, cooking, meeting with others, doing chores, singing, playing and endlessly cleaning the kitchen. We love Proverbs chapter 3 this week.
The Carlson's are visiting on Saturday and Lord willing, The Baxters next Saturday. We are looking forward to seeing our sister Pat and other relatives in March.

I've been struggling with seeing life as an endless list of to-do's instead of time to spend with God and others. I am very excited about the future and today but, I am distracted by the things that I must do.

snow

We're getting our first snow today. The children are out running around in it. I am sitting downstairs typing and I keep seeing them run by.
Some of my old Portland friends are going to the Above Rubies ladies retreat this weekend. I wish that I was going but, Leon and I decided that I should stay home. Above Rubies is such a fresh rain of grace. I come away from any exposure to it feeling light, happy and inspired to be in God's presence. I hope to go in March if the new boys aren't home and needing me.

make your election sure

Who would Jesus vote for today? Please vote with no compromise. There are several candidates we have to choose from. We should not choose out of fear.
