Help me translate this...

People always want to know what religion we are. We refuse to put a name on it and they don't mind. Instead we simply tell them what we believe. (The gospel)
I learned recently that when someone asks it's important to know the difference between pescado (spanish for 'fish') and pecado (spanish for 'sin'). I met a self admittedly 'searching' man at a park last week. I told him that I knew I had many fish and needed a savior. He was following me about the fish and nodding his head. Our town is a beach town so fishing is big. But his face changed to concerned confusion when I started saying that this was a bad thing. So he was kind enough to help me figure out how to say what I was trying to say in Spanish. He essentially helped me write my sermon to the lost, himself.

Hi, I stumbled on your blog because I was looking for something online, I am Jennifer Goodenough, from the NW and I'm in Santiago... but Santiago Dominican Republic. Anyway I thought that it is interesting that there are so many similarities. You can look me up on FB if you like, Jen Goodenough. Blessings on your work!
