Ephraim is coming. He is selling the cabin and coming home for a much needed rest. Hooray for Ephraim who stuck it out several months longer than the rest of us! "I am so proud of you, you did it, way to go!"
He had some wonderful new experiences in Patagonia, Chile. Living authentically with the Chileans there, speaking only their language, eating only their food and participating in their daily life and activities.
In Laguna Verde he learned to build houses in the Chile Campo style, put in flooring, wiring, walls etc. He is fluent in Spanish and able to be comfortable in various non-American living and social situations, even working out how to obtain government documents in a foreign government using a foreign language (I have been brought to frustrated tears over this one).
Before I left to take the family back to America, I asked him what he would do if he felt lonely. He answered, "I don't know, I've never felt lonely".
That makes sense. He is the oldest of 10 children and hadn't lived on his own yet.
I'm pretty sure that he could answer that one now.
