Everything is all packed up

Leon and Ephraim are opening for Michael Pritzl (from Violet Burning) in Portland this Wednesday! I wish that I could be there.
Little Levina (Nadia) will be in a Mama's arms very soon.

It looks like we are going over our 11 pieces of checked luggage limit and will need to pay for excess baggage. It's so much cheaper than any other way to ship stuff there.  I have weighed out 13, 50 pound piles. 5 are music gear and the rest are mostly in suitcases but we don't have quite enough suitcases. We want to make sure that we are able to make music right away.
We are bringing the equivalent of; 2 suitcases of books, 2 of leather shoes and boots, 1 of cords and miscellaneous music and recording stuff (including 2 lunchbox amplifiers), 1 is the country living grain mill and a pot (the only kitchen item we are bringing), plus some clothes, 1 is clothes for Leon and Ephraim to teach in. The last one is full of things like; all the capes the children made, the winter capes that I made the girls and a few stuffed animals. Also stuffed in those suitcases are some homemade quilts.

We are going to try to bring 4 sleeping bags as 'carry ons'. All the clothes for the rest of us are severely limited. Each 2 people are sharing 1 back pack.
Everyone has to wear a winter coat onto the plane so we don't have to fill up 2 more suitcases with 11 coats. We are not bringing anything that we can easily replace there.

Everyone asks me if we're excited. I'm sure that this must be a very exciting time in our life but we don't really feel it. We're not going for fun. We've never thought about it like that. We all think it will be hard and nearly if not totally impossible, not fun. We know that the God of the universe will provide. Just like you, our ability to do anything good will be only by His strength.
