It was cold, but all I felt was a painful burning in my lungs and the muscles on my legs getting overworked as I pedaled hard to catch up with Ephraim. Hours before, a big package had come in the mail, and when we opened it it was Ephraim's early birthday present--an awesomely light street bike! I know, I'm so anticlimactic, ain't I. I can't show my excitement well, so I make it part of my "style". Play it cool.
I shone my flashlight behind us at the cars coming up fast so that they'd notice us in the dusk. Finally, because I couldn't keep up, Ephraim pulled off to the side and offered to switch. Yeah! His is so easy to go no-hands on; it's easier than NOT going no-hands.
It's blue.
It's skinny.
It's... um, it's... made of metal? Partly?
