Havilah posts some pictures

Havilah posted some family pictures for me. We went on lots of adventures when McKennaugh came to visit.

Zuriel (13), in one of her weird moods. In this case she was a valley girl.

Havilah (17) and McKennaugh (18), unaware that Asaph (15), was taking a picture. "I wanted to see how you guys look when you're not posing."

Asaph (15), and Zuriel

That's as pretty as Laguna Verde, Chile. It's the gorge.

Havilah's idea. "Let's see if we can all fit in here!" There are ten in there. We Goodenough's like to cram together in small spaces. Mama thinks that touch is good. Just don't try to give Ephraim a back rub. Wild and free Havilah walked all the way there and back without shoes, using a crutch.

Lazuli (almost 2), either sleepy or got sun in her eyes through the hat

Papa and Lazuli

Ephraim (almost 20), Naphtali (10), Ammiel (Elsie) (5)

The strong ones took turns carrying Lazuli the whole way every time, and fussing over whether she was comfortable and protected from the sun.

McKennaugh was going to take this, but we wanted her in the picture so we asked a passer-by to do it.

Papa told us how he proposed to Mama right here. He had prepared scriptures to read to her which got more and more personal. Oh, how she blushed when he got to the Song of Solomon verses. After reading verses like that to her, he HAD to marry her.

Lazuli's sweetness. It seems to all of us children that each baby is more darling than the one before. We can hardly stand how much love her. She is definitely spoiled, but not rotten, she's spoiled sweet.

Havilah was barely allowed to climb up here because she still had to walk everywhere with at least one crutch, but she insisted she could do it without using that foot. See how happy she is? Mama will never regret it.

Thanks for looking. We love you. Yes, you.
