more about the previously mentioned home that probably causes envy among Americans

Leon was resting on the couch with the children snuggling all around him. He didn't look like he could move anywhere quickly. I was about to find out that I was wrong.
I was making the beds for the night when something crawled quickly and suspiciously under a small shelf. Not really spider like and rather large for the cockroaches we get here. The movement, (smooth and sly) caught my attention. It was unlike what I'd ever seen on  my wall before --I got my candle.
 "Leon..... help"
He was at my side so quickly and his face showed so much concern that I was embarrassed. It wasn't an emergency, after all.
"I'm sorry , it's ok.... it just scared me... Iv'e never seen one in my house before... it's a scorpion"
Leon and I use 2 mattresses on the floor for our bed. the scorpion was next to Leon's side With it's tail curled over it's body. It was no longer than maybe 1.5 inches. I've seen a lot of them around here. This was one 'bug' that we didn't want to let escape. We called Simeon to 'get it'. He did, and we slept peacefully (after searching every centimeter of our bedroom).
