DoubleA. Story by Havilah #1

Once there were a little girl and a littler boy. The little girl's name was Ammiel, and the little boy's name was Abel. They each had a pony that they liked to ride over their family's farm, and sometimes they took their ponies into the woods. One day their mama said,"Ammiel and Abel, if you will take your ponies into the woods and gather berries, I will pay you five dollars per quart!" So they took two pails and strapped them to their ponies' backs, and rode off towards the woods. On the way, they stopped by the chickens. "When we get back, let's get the eggs for mama," Ammiel said. Then they entered the woods. Soon they were following deer trails, looking for berries.
Suddenly, out from around a bend in the deer trail, burst a beautiful fawn! Ammiel's pony started back, and Abel whispered,"Wow! Where's its mother?" They waited and waited, but its mother never appeared. "Shshsh!" Ammiel whispered. "Wait, and I will see if it knows to run away." Slowly, Ammiel eased herself down from her pony and approached the fawn. The fawn took a step away. Then the fawn ran, but it was to late. Ammiel caught it and just managed to get it and herself onto her pony.
The two children hurried home with three quarts of blueberries and a little motherless fawn who obviously didn't care for human mothers. When they got home their very big sister, Havilah, came out of the house and ran toward them, amazed! Of course, everybody was amazed! Mama sent Zuriel to go ask Papa what to do.(He was at work in his music store) Zuriel came back with the message that Papa couldn't come just this minute, but that if the fawn really was motherless, then Ammiel and Abel could keep it and feed it milk.
They were so happy! Just for fun, they called it Double A, because both their names started with an A. When it got big, they found out it was a female, and it was so big and gentle that papa said they could ride it.
